-
This Privacy Policy sets out the basis which we may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process your personal data, and is designed to be in line with the PDPA. This Privacy Policy applies to personal data in our possession or under our control howsoever obtained, including (but not limited to) information obtained through the use of our website and/or web application (collectively, “Web-based Services”), information obtained in writing, and information obtained through oral means.
-
By continuing to access, browse and use our Web-based Services, you are deemed to have consented to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data pursuant to this Privacy Policy.
-
In addition, please take note that filming, photography and audio/deo recording takes place on our church premises and during our church services and events. By entering our church premises and/or attending our services and events, you are deemed to have consented to such filming, photography and audio/video recording, and also to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data pursuant to this Privacy Policy.
2. PERSONAL DATA
- In this Privacy Policy, “personal data” means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified:
- from that data; or
- from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.
- Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, some examples of personal data which we may collect from you include your name and contact information such as residential address, email address and/or contact number.
3. COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
- It is our practice not to collect your information unless we need and intend to use it. We generally do not collect your personal data unless:
- it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party who has been duly authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us (your “Authorised Representative”);
- you (or your Authorised Representative) have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected; and
- you (or your Authorised Representative) have consented to the collection of your personal data for such purposes.
- In addition to the personal data that you may provide, please note that when you use our Web-based Services, we may also collect non-personally identifiable information and technical information, such as the manner of use of our Web-based Services, your internet protocol address, your device operating system and browser type, the address of a referring website, if any, and the path you take through our Web-based Services. Such information does not identify you personally, and is essential to enable us to undertake statistical and technical analysis. For example, we may track how many visitors access our Web-based Services, the date and time of their visit, the length of their stay, and which pages they view. The collection of such data will allow us to improve the content and functionality of our Web-based Services, to better understand the needs and interests of our users, and/or to improve our programmes and services.
- Please note that in certain circumstances, express consent is not required and the collection and use of such personal data without express consent may be permitted under the PDPA and other written law.
- We use the information that you provide for the purposes for which it was originally collected, for example, to respond to your queries or to provide you with information on our ministries and programmes. We may also use the information provided to better understand your interests and needs. By consenting to the collection of your personal data, you also agree that we may do so for any or all of the following purposes:
- establishing or managing your relationship with us, including the verification or your identity and details;
- providing services to you as a member or attendee of the church;
- responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applications, and feedback from you;

- reproducing and publishing photos, videos and/or other forms of recording whether online or in print; and
- for general purposes of publicity as well as church or ministry-related purposes.
- We treat your personal data with utmost care. However, we may need to disclose your personal data in special circumstances. These include:
- to comply with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, rules or requests by public agencies;
- to any relevant authorities and/or law enforcement agencies;
- to third party service providers, agents and other organisations we have engaged to perform any of the purposes listed in clause 3.4 above for us; and
- any other party to whom you authorised us to disclose your personal data to, or where necessary to undertake any action requested by you.
4. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
- The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw your consent and request us to stop collecting, using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request in writing to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
- Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we will require a reasonable amount of time to process your request and to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same. This will depend on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you. In general, we shall seek to process your request within sixty (60) business days of receiving it.
- Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our services to you (whether on the Web-based Services or otherwise) and we shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform us in the manner described above.
- Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
5. ACCESS TO AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
- If you wish to make a “request” as defined in the Personal Data Protection Regulations 2021, you may submit your request via email or otherwise in writing, to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
- Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.
- We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. Before we accede to your access or correction request, we may need to verify your identity by checking the necessary identification document and to review the legitimacy of your request.
- In general, we will strive to respond within thirty (30) days. Should we not be able to respond to your request within thirty (30) days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).
6. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
- To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we will maintain reasonable technical and organisational security measures to store and protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, modification, destruction or similar risks.
7. ACCURACY OF PERSONAL DATA
- We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your Authorised Representative). In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data.
8. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
- We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws.
- We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or ministry purposes.
9. TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE OF SINGAPORE
- We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore. However, should there be a need to do so, we will obtain your consent for the transfer to be made and we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.
10. VARIATION
